Earthbase Quarters

Ever wondered what Soundwave's quarters in the undersea base on Earth looked like? Here's a glimpse, of what a friend of mine once called "Soundwave's funky New-Age room":

The prevailing color scheme here is dark blue and deep green, with a warm diffuse lighting from an indistinct source. A window spans the upper half of the outermost wall and opens up on the spectacular panorama of the ocean - the constant motion of fish that drift serenely, or dart suddenly like clouds of silver arrows through the shadowy water. The inside furnishings include a recharge bed, a small computer outlet, a comfortable seating arrangement with a good view of the window, and a set of shelves stacked with a rather impressive collection of electronic texts, ranging on everything from specialized neurocircuitry repairs to ancient Decepticon philosophy. The whole atmosphere puts you at ease, perhaps enhanced by the occasional trickle of alien music that seems to drift from nowhere, or the crystaline wall-hanging that subtly shifts through a spectrum of colors. Two holo-photos stand on a low table near the bed , their colors and 3-D images seeming to come alive as you look more closely. (Photo1: The hologram shows a colorful group of small robots and animals, who look like they could easily become cassettes. The group has a look of unruly exuberance, all piled up together for the photo and seeming to find it very amusing. Photo2: Two strikingly beautiful silver-white female jets look up at you with bright-gold eyes, smiling slightly. They are nearly identical except that one is quite young while the other is mature.) In the far right corner a platform is suspended near the ceiling, lined with some soft pillows and blankets - a vantage point from which some agile, small being would be able to watch the door. A similar structure exists in the left corner, but this is a series of perches where bird- or bat-like creatures might feel at home. Underneath these perches, hanging a bit haphazardly on the wall, is a dartboard pinned with pictures of various Autobots, most pierced with colorful throwing darts. A few of these darts and other odds and ends lie scattered about on the floor, this corner obviously frequented by someone who has less of a sense of order than Soundwave does - but somehow it doesn't manage to detract from the harmony of the rest of the room.
